In a modern economy it is very hard not only to reach a new financial level but also to maintain the stability of the one you already have. Rising prices combined with not very stable earnings lead to a worse situation. Competent distribution of finances will help you avoid ending up on the brink of poverty.

Home accounting lets you control the movement of funds in the family budget. It consists of expense and income items as well as funds. Their formation is of particular importance for the family's financial development and for reaching a new level. One of them is the reserve fund. Its main task is to cover unforeseen expenses.

A big mistake when keeping a family budget is to give up this item of income distribution. There are a number of factors in our lives that cannot be predicted or foreseen. They include deteriorating health, a broken household appliance and much more. The reserve fund is designed precisely to cover these expenses. As a rule, they are more urgent and necessary than all the others. So if there is no reserve, funds meant for other purposes are used. As a result, certain difficulties arise.

To avoid this, you should take care of having reserve funds in advance. For this, 5% of the total monthly income should be set aside every time. It will be used if an urgent need arises.

The question of how to cope with unforeseen expenses is one of the most frequent when methods of keeping home accounting are discussed. This fund is filled from total income. The larger the sum allocated to it, the more calmly you will be able to take life's troubles that lead to financial costs.

It should be noted that sometimes a single reserve and savings fund is created. All surpluses after distributing funds among the main items are placed in it. Such a method, like most, of course has the right to exist, and you may use it. But when using funds from this source, you will have to choose between planned and unforeseen expenses.

It is much more sensible to separate these funds. Online home accounting lets you record contributions to the reserve and keep track of them. You can check the savings report every month. The main thing when carrying out any operations is not to forget to enter information about them into the database.
